A commercially-produced image depicting a group of four South-Asian women sitting around a millstone. All four women have their hands on a single grinding pestle. The reverse of this image does not contain any writing. This image was one of many commercially-produced images of various places and peoples in Asia likely gifted to the Spence family by the Fisk Jubilee Singers upon their return to the United States in 1890.
