A letter from Henrietta Matson to Catherine Spence. Written shortly before her departure for India, Matson sent this letter from either Tennessee or Ohio to the Spence Family in Nashville, TN, USA. In this letter Matson reveals that she had long contemplated becoming a missionary in Asia. She believes that missionary work in South Asia would be a continuity of her time teaching at Fisk.
