Description
A commercially-produced image depicting a Brahman family in India. This family consists of four men and three women. Three men and one woman are seated in chairs. One man stands behind the seated persons. One woman stands to the right of the seated persons, and another woman stands to the left.
The reverse of this image has writing in ink, reading "A Brahmin Family." This image was one of many commercially-produced images of various places and peoples in Asia likely gifted to the Spence family by the Fisk Jubilee Singers upon their return to the United States in 1890.
