An account of the resource
The Jubilee Singers Archives consist of three separate collections; the Original Jubilee Singers Collection 1858-1924; the European Tour Collection, 1873-1878; and the latest collection 1928-1982. The archives consist of thirty-three archival boxes containing an abundance of correspondences from members including George White (organizer), Ella Sheppard Moore, Mabel Imes, America Robinson, Maggie Porter, and Julia Jackson. The collections also includes newspaper clippings, photographs, publicity materials, programs, and an abundance of original writings. These materials are held in Fisk University's John Hope and Aurelia E. Franklin Library Special Collections.
