Description
This is a letter written by Henrietta Matson addressed to Adam Spence. In this letter, Matson describes the various peoples and spiritual practices of India and Burma. Moreover, she describes the Fisk Jubilee Singers' travels in India and Burma, as well as their visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon. She suggests that the Fisk Jubilee Singers did very well in India, and they wished that they could have done more performances in the subcontinent. But they were eager to visit other reaches of Asia and return to the states in time for Fisk University's Commencement the following fall.
